Black Rhodium’s New Pure Palladium DCT ULTRA Interconnect: Cantata DCT ULTRA With choice of Oyaide SLSC or Eichmann Silver Bullet RCA plugs, or Oyaide Focus-1 XLRs in balanced architecture Advanced manufacturing processes plus the best materials are employed by Black Rhodium to deliver a truly magic musical performance: - Uses 99.97% pure palladium signal wire for high clarity of sound and resolution of musical detail. - 0.25mm diameter (30 gauge) diameter solid conductor and return wires. - The palladium wire is treated with our advanced Deep Cryogenic Treatment DCT++ process that adds improvements to depth, clarity and timing of audio. The additional processes before and after the DCT in the DCT++ process take these improvements to a much higher level. - High quality PTFE insulation with air gap to minimise dielectric absorption distortion effects and deliver clean pure music. - Special conducting layer between insulation and screen that prevents microphonic noise, resulting in a smoother, clearer and more dynamic sound quality. - Silver plated copper braid is used as the screen to reject RFI interference offering a clearer sound and reduced background noise. - Supplied with either Eichmann pure silver Bullet RCA, Oyaide SLSC pure silver RCA plugs or Oyaide Focus-1 XLRs in balanced architecture. - The fully assembled cable is treated with a second DCT treatment and our exclusive ‘Crystal Sound’ process. The DCT process adds further improvements to depth, clarity and timing of audio and visual. The ‘Crystal Sound’ process adds power and weight to bass notes, creating greater realism. - Directional heat shrinks are applied to the attractive blue sheath. TD 309 PT 92 High Gloss A selection of three new high gloss colour finishes has already been added to the colour range of this model : White, Red and Black. TD 2010 and TD 2030 are being replaced by TD 2015 and TD 2035 More modern design, stay more or less same mechanically but the steering unit and electronic issues are being adapted slightly. And, both products will be supplied with the tonearm, Thorens TP 92 OEM version, in near future. Pricing and other details will follow shortly after the Munich High End Show. Thorens TP 92 will be available as an OEM version Two versions will be offered : - OEM 1 with loose tonearm cables. - OEM 2 with mini DIN connectors.

Creek Audio scoops two prestigious Diapason d'Or awards!

DESTINY 2 Creek Audio's Destiny 2 CD Player was awarded best CD Player and the Destiny 2 Integrated Amplifier was awarded best Amplifier at the 2011 Diapason d'Or de l'Annee, the annual music awards ceremony in France. A jury of critics from the French music press award - including influential French music magazine, Diapason and broadcasters from French radio station, France Musique - chose the winners from a long list of contenders.

EPOS LAUNCHES EPIC FAMILY

EPOS EPIC FAMILY The boffins at Epos have been burning the candle late into the night over the last year to develop a completely new range of speakers. The result is the new Epic range, which redefines the benchmark for what can be achieved with modern materials and computer aided design. Epic speakers bear little similarity to earlier Epos models. The aim was to produce speakers with such qualities that regardless of price, they could be matched with the best. Epos has developed all new drive units in three sizes together with crossovers voiced for a more sensitive and bolder sounding speaker range – as you would expect from this highly respected British company. The cosmetic harks back to the early 80’s roots of the Epos brand, but the distinctive removable front carries no screws or grille fixings to clutter its elegant lines. Instead, the front baffle could be seen to be a cosmetic trick to hide the drive units which are mounted conveniently on a sub panel that contains all the screws and fixings, thereby leaving the front clear. For those who need or want a grille, to cover the moving parts and to prevent small children or animals from causing damage, the Epic range comes complete with a replacement grille panel that is optimised to cover only the drive units and therefore avoids the common problem of degrading the sound quality when running with grilles on. To fit the grille, the baffle needs to be removed and Epos provides a somewhat ingenious device to accommodate this.
